Dear Fellow Motorhomer,
Travelling before April, touring in Europe can prove inconsistent in achieving good weather; not so if touring a lot further south in the Canary Islands. Those on this years Canary Islands tour have recently returned to mainland Europe, following 10 weeks in the islands experiencing adventure in very enjoyable weather.
Gran Canaria Campsite – April 2025
A couple of customer reviews from the tour.
‘This is our 3rd tour to the Canary Islands with GB Motorhome Tours. The first trip everything was new and fresh, this time it was all more comfortable and familiar. Superb tour leaders, many adventures with overall excellent weather. Superb value for money, we would recommend anyone to do the tour. Thank you GB! ‘ Roy and Cheryl Clark
‘This was our first tour with GB Motorhome Tours and it won’t be our last. The tour was extremely well planned, organised and guided by Kevin & Nurcan and Douglas and Jane, who really went out of their way to resolve any problems and attend to our needs.’ Derek and Gill Green
The over-winter Canary Islands tour will be running again next year January to April 2026, the itinerary for this is now available by clicking on the name above and bookings can be made on the GB Motorhome Tours website.
As one tour in the sunshine finishes another is just starting. The Greece 2025 tour is now underway, with those on the optional travel from UK with Tour Directors package having enjoyed lovely clear days as they made their way from the UK to the tours start in Italy.
Camping in Switzerland as part of the Greece optional package – April 2025
Whilst our tours start in destinations all over Europe, most also offer an optional package for starting and traveling out from the UK. This flexibility allows tour participants to choose which works best for them. If selecting the optional travel from UK with Tour Directors package, this offers the opportunity of having everything arranged for you, including cross-channel ferries. The starting point in this instance is a campsite in Kent, the day before the ferry to France. The Tour Directors meet there with those on the optional package and look after everything on route to the tours starting point. Included within the optional package are return cross-channel ferries, which are fully flexible and include full access to the ships club lounge both ways; the outward on-route campsite nights and usually a group dinner at one of the campsites. Full details of each optional package is contained at the end of each tours itinerary.

With spring arriving and many motorhomes now being made ready for use after a winter break, it’s a good time to clean the fresh water tank, pipework and taps with a solution of sterilising water. This can be achieved by adding some sterilising tablets/fluid to your main fresh water tank, allowing them to dissolve/mix in and then pumping the water through to all locations by opening each of the taps for a couple of minutes. Leave the sterilising solution in the system for 24 hours and then drain down before refilling with clean fresh water. Your motorhome water system will then be ready for your next outing.
Happy touring to everyone.
