January and last year’s tours came to an end this week, with the Scottish Hogmanay 2023 tour finishing. This tour was appreciated by 15 motorhomes for its included content of exploring central Scotland, whilst enjoying some fine Scottish cuisine and celebrating the New Year in, Scottish style.

You will then be sent the full tour itinerary in advance of it being made generally available, giving you first opportunity of requesting a tour place, if you so wish at that time.
Another festive tour that has just been released to the GB Motorhome Tours website, is the Paris at Christmastime 2024 tour. Spend time during December in the wonderful city of Paris, where Christmas Markets decorate many of its streets. Also enjoy an excursion to the Palace of Versailles for an insight into the French aristocracy, and a real highlight of Paris – A Champagne dinner evening at the world-famous Moulin Rouge. Bookings for this tour can now be made on the GB Motorhome Tours website.
For touring throughout the spring/summer of this year, there currently remains availability on the following tours

• Rhine in Flames Spectacular – June/July for 12 nights
• Northern Italy’s Treasures – September for 23 nights
• French Atlantic Coast – September for 17 nights
• Southern Bavaria – September for 16 nights

For all holidays, GB Motorhome Tours offers the option for participants to start a tour on the continent or from the UK. This gives flexibility for individuals to choose which works best for them. If you have a 2024 tour booking which currently doesn’t have the optional travel from UK with Tour Directors package included and you would like to add this, it remains possible to do so at this stage. Send us an email requesting the optional package be added to your booking and this will be done for you. Full details of each tour’s optional package can be viewed at the end of each tour itinerary on the GB Motorhome Tours website.
Tours for 2025 will begin to be released over the next couple of months; these will be added to the GB Motorhome Tours website. There is another great programme of destinations to look forward to, spanning all across Europe. Also keep an eye on the monthly newsletters where some of these will be featured.
With winter here in the UK, a tip for your motorhome whilst it spends longer periods parked up, is to keep the diesel tank full of fuel. Diesel engines do not like water in their fuel. Water can build up inside the diesel from condensation forming on the inside of the tank in cold conditions; by keeping the fuel tank full it leaves no space for condensation to form.
